A message to the nation:
No longer will we sit idly by when a land, contested over centuries, has not been privy to our presence in its entirety.
No longer will we sit idly by, while a place of innocence has been allowed to exist.
No longer will we sit idly by when we have a golden opportunity.
Solstheim, The Dark Brotherhood is coming.
We have watched for generations, but now is the time to strike.
The time when we will uproot the tendrils we have spread.
We are your brothers, sisters, parents children, your friends, your colleges.
We are your neighbours, the friendly shopkeeper down the road; the monster waiting underneath your bed.
We are everyone and everything, alas, we are nobody.
How to Contact Us
You are able to contact us through the Black Sacrament.
How do you perform the most unholy of rituals?
That is up to you to find out.
Though, I can tell you that there are various books scattered throughout the land explaining what to do.
Alternatively, you can try your hand at performing the Sacrament without a book, and we will most likely hear of your actions.
Use this method if you wish for someone to be... dealt with.
How to Join Us
If you wish to join our ranks, make sure you are befitting.
We do not accept those weak in the heart, mind or soul.
But otherwise, we do not discriminate.
We have been ostracised by society, but now society will pay the price.
Firstly, you must understand and become a devout follower of our Five Tenants, as follows:
Tenet 1: Never dishonor the Night Mother. To do so is to invoke the Wrath of Sithis.
Tenet 2: Never betray the Dark Brotherhood or its secrets. To do so is to invoke the Wrath of Sithis.
Tenet 3: Never disobey or refuse to carry out an order from a Dark Brotherhood superior. To do so is to invoke the Wrath of Sithis.
Tenet 4: Never steal the possessions of a Dark Brother or Dark Sister. To do so is to invoke the Wrath of Sithis.
Tenet 5: Never kill a Dark Brother or Dark Sister. To do so is to invoke the Wrath of Sithis.
Once these are understood you can join by:
1)Messaging me over these boards, or:
2)Committing heinous acts of evil in game - you will be noticed eventually.
The Nature of Death
The Brotherhood understands that if individuals are forced to create a new character after an assassination, your enjoyment of this server may be compromised.
For this reason, we will only 'truly' assassinate a player if astoundingly large amounts of money, or rare items are offered.
In other cases, we will simply 'knock the victim out' and take their items.
This allows everyone to have more fun - you will not have to create a new character, and will simply return to your spawn.
In the rare case that we have been offered an actual assassination contract, once your character has been dealt with, you will be required to forego his/her existence and start again.
You will not be required to create another character application, and will have access to all of your old items - as long as there is an rp reason.
What Everyone Must Understand
The Dark Brotherhood is under... 'new management'.
We are not like the old guild.
This time around, we do not intend for the general public to know of us in any way, shape or form.
If you decide to become a family member, under no circumstances should you shall disclose any information regarding any aspect of the Dark Brotherhood to anyone.
This means no sharing of names, equipment, locations, etc.
If you decide to join us, do NOT post publicly on a forum, or you will be denied.
A message to every other guild, or body of people on the server:
Do yourself a favour, do not try and oppose us.
Any attempt at this will be met with indiscriminate aggression and power.
If you try to harm us in any way, you will die.
If you want to create an 'alliance' know that we will be bound to its guidelines as long as it suits us.
It can be beneficial to you, but that is all dependent on how you go about creating such agreements.
