We are the Order of the Shield. We are the protectors of Skyrim.
Guild Name: Order of the Shield
What Do They Do: The Order is a dedicated group of people who devote themselves to defending Skyrim. Our goal is to keep peace, even if it means breaking a law or two in the process. While bandits are a bit of a problem, our main goal is to stop the spread of war and prevent the brothers of Skyrim from spilling each other's blood. Members of the Order must be willing to be summoned if the need should arise and if the Order needs their help. If a village is being attacked by thugs, we are there to drive them out. If a tomb of Draugr has opened, we are there to put them pack into their graves. Members of the Order are allowed to contribute in anyway possible, whether it be combat, medical support, or supplies. All forms of combat are accepted.
Uniform: There is no uniform. We like it that way. We prefer to be covert and carry out missions when we will be least noticed. Some people may not understand what we do, but it is not their fault. We fight for the good of Skyrim.
Expected Profit: Our hope is to keep peace and order in Skyrim and we all know that it can be somewhat expensive. It is not a sin to profit from your enemy's blood money. Whatever riches that a brother may find is their's to keep, unless it falls under special circumstances (i.e. it was stolen from another brother, you are expected to have the honesty and virtues to return it to them.)
Ranks
1. Recruit: You have shown interest in protecting Skyrim. Your tasks will be simple (such as "clear out a small camp of bandits in 'this location'").
2. Soldier: You have shown passion and a driving spirit. Your mission will become tougher, but know that you will always have brothers at your back.
3. Hoplite: Your valor and strength have lead you through many battles, and you have defended Skyrim from the darkness. You will be asked to swear the oath of loyalty to the Order and to Skyrim. At this point, you are a full member of the Order. Your expectations are high, but we believe that you are ready for the task.
4. Shield Sergeant: You have moved up from the rank of Hoplite. Your skill is great, but you still have a bit of a way to go. At this point, you may begin to take command of small recruit squads. This is a big responsibility. Abusing it will result in immediate expulsion from the Order.
5. Shield Captain: Higher than the Shield Sergeant, it is your job to train Recruits into Foot Soldiers and also take command of the Foot Soldiers. You will also have a direct line of contact with the Arch Lords.
6. Shield General: If you achieve this glorious rank, you have the honor of commanding the Hoplites. You also gain access to the Order's High Command Center. You also have a direct line of contact with the Arch Lords.
7. Arch Lord: The Arch Lords are the shining light that cuts through the darkness that threatens Skyrim. They take part in making plans and assigning squads. They hold great power in the Order, and as stated before, this power is not to be abused. To become an Arch Lord, one must pass a test to prove their worth They have shown true devotion and their skill is unmatched by any accept for three...
8. Elysians: The heads of the Order, there are always three Elysians. They vote on whether or not a plan is carried out. The role of an Elysian is to listen to the members of the order and take their words to heart. The three Elysians share their power equally, and never exceed each other. To be an Elysian, one must have shown unwavering loyalty to the Order. Elysians are elected by the Arch Lords. Their skill in combat is unmatched by any, and they conquer all who wish to conquer Skyrim.
